It is familiar enough to jump right in, but it has a flavor all it's own. The voice acting is fine, but some of the lines make me cringe. The central point is the gameplay though, and it is rock solid. Probably most fun to play with friends so you can brag about loot finds, but should be fun either way. This game, (like the original borderlands) has just the right combo of loot and power ups to keep you coming back for more.. A thoroughly enjoyable dungeon crawler that's easy to learn and hard to master. Put it on hardcore mode and the game turns into a roguelike that plays like God intended them to be.. i love this dlc it's best
